From Greenville to Southern Brazil
Artelio came to life in Greenville, SC, but its roots are found in the Porto Alegre region of Southern Brasil (Brazil). Niko, one of our founders, learned his craft as part of a thriving community of shoemakers and leatherworkers. He started in the family shoe business when he was just a boy, and now owns several successful shoe stores in Brasil.
After bringing his family to America to provide more opportunity for his kids, Niko partnered with a friend and fellow-entrepreneur to start Artelio—a new take on what a fine men’s footware brand could be.
Our Journey
We’ve grown quite a bit since then, combining modern technology with classic styling, all while keeping the customer at the center of it all. Fine materials, quality workmanship, distinctive styling, high-touch personal service.... These are the qualities that set Polished, and the men who wear them, apart.
Brasil combines modern manufacturing methods with time-honored craftsmanship. We produce shoes that are stylish enough to want to wear and comfortable enough to leave on all day—for commuting, for working, for playing, and for relaxing.
